Are Bathroom Mixer Taps Perfect Accessories For Modern Bathrooms?

Bathroom Taps

Most of us tend to overlook need for bathroom accessories, however we need to realize that our family spend considerable time in bathroom. Décor and convenience in bathrooms help to make the most wanted room inviting with boosting of our spirits. It is true that the modern innovation of bathroom mixer taps have gained popularity both from the point of view of adding style and improving functionality as a necessary accessory in modern and contemporary bathrooms.

Improving the appearance of the bathroom requires not just selecting high quality taps, but convenient, stylish and easy to maintain bathroom mixer taps. Designed with ceramic discs instead of rubber washers’ make them less liable for leakage. In addition their convenience to supply bath water in 3 temperature variations like hot, cold and warm add to the convenience and enjoyment of bath times.

Their main feature of adjustably varying temperature allows for avoiding of risks like scalds and burns.

Bathroom mixer taps a step over traditional bath taps in design prove to be ideal for fitting into small spaces in modern and contemporary bathrooms. These taps that compliment the utility and style of modern bathrooms truly prove to be perfect accessories as they can be wall mounted, floor mounted and deck mounted. It is also possible to fit them to showers so that they could be also enjoyed with shower sprinklers.

It is true that made of granite, ceramic, acrylic, steel and metals like brass, copper, cast iron, aluminum and wrought iron these mixer taps are finished with textures that vary greatly from rusted, antique, platina, lacquered, silver plated and polish.

From a householder’s point of view I would say bathroom mixer taps meet the objective of saving space and being adaptable to restrictions.

Next bathroom mixer taps are definitely better than traditional bathroom taps as far as functionality is concerned as they are designed with ceramic discs instead of rubber washers that leak easily. Next bathroom mixer taps made of sturdy material like brass, copper, cast iron, aluminum and wrought iron could stand a lot wear and tear. This makes them ideal for use by older family members also that could be shaky and need support and assistance.

As a last word, mixer taps could be costly considering the material they are made of, but this also helps in getting full value for your money invested. With today’s world of online marketing it is easy to order them online, making buying bathroom mixer taps very convenient for one and all.

Choosing bathroom taps for your home- Helpful Tips & Advice?

Bathroom Taps

Woodie’s DIY will show you how to replace a bathroom taps. This is a clever and cost effective way of adding some extra style to your bathroom sink.

Radox African Sanctuary Bath Theraphy

Bathroom Taps

The Radox range of bath foams are currently on offer at the moment and as my favourite and usual brand have not bought out any new fragrance I have decided to give these ones a try. The last one I used was excellent so had no problems in picking this one up to try.

~~PACKAGING~~

The bath foam comes in a clear plastic bottle, this allows me to see the brown coloured liquid inside and be able to see exactly how much I have left. The bottle has a black screw ld which is very simple to use.

On the front of the bottle is a small label which has the Radox logo on the top and the product name in the middle. There is a small picture at the bottom is gold and brown colours showing the edge of a plant over water. On the back of the bottle there is another label which contains all of the product information, directions for use and ingredients.

~~USE AND RESULTS~~

It is very simple to use the bath foam, the screw lid just needs to be opened and a small amount poured under a running tap in the bath. I would recommend opening the bottle with a dry hand as it becomes hard when trying to grip the smooth plastic with wet hands. Once the liquid mixes with the running water it immediately starts to form bubbles and a good lather. I would day be careful when pouring as the liquid is very runny and only small amount is needed.

I had a good amount of lather and bubbles in my bath and it did last for the duration of my bath, this bath time was long and lasted 20 minute and not even half of the lather had gone by the time I finally got out. The lather also stayed in tact when washed my hair and this is a good thing as usually once the shampoo and conditioner hit it is start to dissolve extra quick. The bubbles were light and white in colour. The water was also clear and the liquid did not change the colour of it at all.

The fragrance is very good and you can smell it immediately once you open the lid. It smells very oriental and woody and it is very relaxing. The fragrance is not overly strong once in the bottle and even though it gets stronger when the lather in the bath forms it is still not strong enough to be over powering. The smell lasts for a good amount of time and it did even waft around the whole of the upstairs in my house. It is a good fragrance which suits both the male and female market. Once out of the water and I had dried off I was not able to smell the scent on my body but this did not bother me at all.

After bathing in this new bath foam I noticed how good my skin felt. I was very moisturised and left with no drying out skin. The freshness and moisture lasted for a good few hours after the bath. My hubby has sensitive skin and he has had no problems with using this bath foam.

~~INFO~~

The bath foam comes in a good size bottle which is 500ml. This would last when being used daily for about 2 weeks as only a small amount is needed. It lasts me a lot longer as I have so many other ones on the go at the same time. The shelf life of the bath foam once opened is 12 months.

The bottle is made form 100% plastic so can be fully recycled, this is usually as a bath toy for my boys in my house.

There are the usual warnings which come with this product, they include keeping away from babes and small children, avoiding contact with eyes and not to consume.

The product ingredient for those wishing to know are:-

Aqua, Sodium Laureth Sulfate, Cocamidopropyl Betain, Sodium Chloride, Thymus Vulgaris Oil, Aspa;lathusnLinearis Leaf Extract, Parfum, Lactic Acid, Polyquaternium-7, Limonene, Linalool, Glycerin, Maltodextrin, Sodium Benzoate, CI 16255, CI 19140, CI 42090

There is no indication on the bottle as to whether this product has been tested on animals or not.

~~PRICE AND AVAILABILITY~~

This and the other products in the Radox brand are widely available in all supermarkets. They are priced around the £1.50 mark. I bought mine from Tesco where they are currently on offer for £1 per bottle which I think is great value for money.

~~RECOMMENDED?~~

I am more than happy to recommend this bath foam and give it the full 5 stars. The smell is great and it lasts when you want a good long soak in the bath. It is for both men and women and has a great price tag. This is a limited edition bath product so stock up whilst you can.

Don?t Forget Petty Essentials When You Leave Your Home Behind

Bathroom Taps

http://Read more from sksoneet at http://www.bukisa.com/people/sksoneet

It is a common experience that when we are out of home we realize, we have forgotten some petite but very essential items of day to day life. As such these items though trifle but at particular moments of time become quite important. For example, only in the bath room we remember that oh! There is no soap. Only in the morning we realize that toothbrush is not there in the kit. Only in bed we repent that there is no mosquito repellant. Situation becomes more embarrassing as early in the morning no shops are open. It turns into a complete chaos. Once I personally felt it very bad when my landlord called in my office that I have left bathroom taps open. So here, I have tried to give you a short check list to help you avoid such small but buzzing embarrassments from your day to day life. Many items may be irrelevant for many of us but it is a comprehensive list which will suit to all. Just check this list at your doorstep before locking the main door and leaving the house behind.

Check out list

1.      You check your body if you are wearing wrist watch, spectacles, and have your mobile or cell phone, pen, wallet in your pocket with money transaction cards, travelling tickets (onward and return journey), any identity cards, close one’s/emergency phone numbers noted down in some paper?

2.      Contemplate for a moment where you are going and what for you are going. Accordingly, take the relevant papers and materials for the purpose (It may be exam, office tour, files, documents, admit cards etc).

3.      If you are a senior citizen then you must take an authentic proof of your age.

4.      The freshening up kit which includes: tooth paste, tooth brush, tongue cleaner, shaving cream, blades/razor.

5.      Have you taken sleepers, shoes brushes, torch (emergency lights), mosquitoes repellant, water bottle, any dairy/notebook, comb and mirror, hair oil, soaps, vest, underwear, socks and towel?

6.      Don’t forget to take first aid kit including small bottle of dettol/savlon, some handy plasts, bandage, cotton and scissors, antiemetic, some painkillers (for headache or so), anti-diarrheic.

7.      If you are on regular medication check if you have taken all of your medicines.

8.      Check that the house/kitchen water taps are closed.

9.      Check that all the lights, fans, Air conditioners coolers and desktops/PCs are off. And finally don’t forget to cut mains power supply.

10.  Check that kitchen gas cylinders are properly knobbed off.

11.  Check that windows/rear doors (if any) are closed and bolted in.

12.  Have you told your newsvendor/ milk vendors to stop giving these items during the period of your absence. Otherwise, stick a bill on your door for the same.

13.  If kids are there with you, be careful and think of their necessities separately.

14.  Lock the door and remember where you are keeping the keys and then move.

15.  Don’t forget to check this list. To catch your attention, stick it just at the door.

How to Lower a Basement Floor 101

Bathroom Taps

The first thing you will need to do is remove the old floor. This will take a lot of hard labor. There is no easy way to do this, so just dig out the concrete, stone and dirt and haul out in 5 gallon buckets. You can recruit many people for this. make sure you have plenty of food and drinks for your friends. Whatever your desired floor height, you will need to dig out and extra 14″ for gravel and concrete. If you are installing a wooden floor and floor joists, you will need to dig down 12″. Both methods allow for insulation of the floor, but the wood floor will generally be more comfortable and allow for more options.

Step 2

Now that you have dug out the basement, you will need to establish the new height of your floor. Measure down from the ceiling the height you would like and add another 1″ and make a mark. This will compensate for a finished ceiling and finished floor for a later project. Repeat this around the room and go back with one on your partners and snap lines using a chalk line.

Step 3

You will have to dig under the current foundation in a specific way. This is shown in the illustration below. Now you will make forms out of plywood. They should be held off the current wall about 8″ and go about 1″ taller than the old floor. The form should be properly supported every foot with 2×4′s nailed into stakes in the ground. The seams of the plywood should be nailed to a single 2×4 that is driven into the ground with a stake. This will also help support the wall. Next, run a double 2×6 on the top of the form and nail it in. This will make sure that the form stays true. Make one last check with your level and make sure that the forms are plumb and level. Take a piece of rebar and pound it into the dug out areas you are pinning. This will help keep the pins in place. Use pieces of plywood with 2×4 stakes driven into the ground to keep the concrete in the pinned areas.

Step 4

Now you are ready to pour your first set of pins. Call a concrete truck and tell them they will have to bring a trunk for the end of the shoot. A trunk is a flexible and long attachment that allows the concrete from the chute to flow and be directed where you point the chute. In this case, you will direct the concrete into a wheel barrow where you can dump it in the forms. As you dump concrete into the forms, tap the outside of the forms with a hammer. This will make sure there are no air pockets in the concrete. Make sure that you push the concrete under the existing wall tapping the front of the form rapidly. Do this until the concrete doesn’t settle. Use the trowel to smooth out the surface. Skip a set of pins and set the next one up and repeat this step. You can pour 2 sets of pins per day. Repeat until you have finished a wall. Use the same forms to set up the next wall.

Step 5

Once all of the pins are poured for all the walls, lay 4″ of 3/4″ clear stone down if you are going to frame a wood floor. Lay 6″ of 3/4″ clear stone down if your are going to pour a concrete floor. If you are pouring concrete, you will need to compact the gravel down after you level it off with a rake. Then you need to lay 2″ of polystyrene insulation down and then 6 mil plastic prior to pouring concrete. Then pour a 4″ slab for your floor. Use the same methods to pout the slab as in my ehow about how to pour a concrete patio. Use a steel trowel to smooth out the concrete.

Building a wood floor in a basement will be covered in a separate how-to article.

Congratulations! You now have a space that you can stand up in!

The Undiscovered World In Your Bathroom With Your Bathroom Taps

Bathroom Taps

Sighing Avril stepped into the shower. Late again she thought. Her boss was going to be ranting at her as usual.

As the warm water caressed her face Avril felt light-headed and closed her eyes reaching out to the wall for support. To her surprise she found that there was no wall and when she opened her eyes she was sat on a rock that appeared to be in the middle of the ocean.

Suddenly aware of her nakedness as she had been within the shower she clasped her hands to her breast and tried to cross her legs. To her amazement she found that this was a most difficult task. Looking down she realised that she no longer had legs but a tail that was vibrant with colour, similar to that of a rainbow trout. Looking upon herself she reeled in amazement to find that seashells adorned her breasts with which to keep her dignity and that her hands had intricate webbing between the fingers.

Unable to take this all in her eyes rolled back in her head and she fainted, falling from the rock into the ocean below.

“Deianeira, Deianeira whatever’s the matter” a strong yet soothing voice engulfed the ocean around her.

Waking gradually she opened her eyes to see a beautiful young woman before her.

“I always worry when you go to the land of man that you will forget who you are and not come back.” Puzzled Avril looked around her and found that she was completely submerged within the water and yet could breathe with no difficulty in a place that appeared to be some kind of home underwater. “What are you talking about and where am I!” She exclaimed sternly.

“I was afraid this might happen” replied the woman. “You stay there for too long and you forget.” What the hell are you talking about” said Avril anger now bubbling within her voice.

“I am your sister Lyssa and your real name is Deianeira, Avril is an alias that you use when traversing in the land of the humans.”

Puzzled and afraid Avril looked at the woman who claimed to be her sister. She was breathtakingly beautiful with the same kind of tail as her own and long blonde hair that fell in ringlets on her back. She wore the most beautiful pearl necklace that was decorated with intricate shells throughout and looked at her with sadness through pretty blue/green eyes.

“Deianeira you are home, you are just a little confused from your journey.” “Why do you keep calling me Deianeira?” exclaimed Avril calmly.

“Because you are Deianeira, the Chieftain’s daughter, my sister and partial ruler of Endonae.” “You went to the human land a few weeks ago, the longest any of us has ever been to a life that had been set up by our kind for us to observe the humans and learn from them.” When water touched your face it reminded you of who you were and you were brought back home by the magic contained within your soul.”

Coming around a little Avril started to remember her life as a Sea Sorcerer and remembered that she was in fact named Deianeira after her mother.

Keeping Your Bathroom Clean With Your Bathroom Taps

Bathroom Taps

The bathroom is one of the most important areas to keep clean as not doing so can result in harmful bacteria that can cause stomach cramps and excessive vomiting.

Each time we use the bathroom and flush the toilet we pick up a form of bacteria. If we do not wash our hands every time we have used the toilet facilities then every surface we touch risks getting this bacteria upon it and therefore anyone who touches door handles or surfaces that it is on and then rubs their eyes or put their fingers in their mouths which children do often, risk ill health.

It is important to use bleaching products within your bathroom to kill off the harmful bacteria. Another way to stop the spread of bacteria is to ensure the toilet lid is down when you flush as water reticules can erupt onto surfaces nearby and even more concerning could get on your toothbrush.

To clean the surfaces in the bathroom use a bleached cloth or hygienic wipe.

The bath and sink can be effectively cleaned by using a cream cleaner. Rinse any bits out of the bath first and then squirt the cream cleaner around the bath. Wet a scouring pad and gently scour the cream cleaner around the bath as this will get rid of lime scale. Rinse the bath/sink thoroughly with warm water ensuring that you remove it all as it can leave behind a powdery residue if left. Cream cleaner is also a great product to clean the taps as it will leave them with a sparkling shine.

To clean the toilet thoroughly use either a cloth that contains bleach, cleaning the outside of the toilet first and then the inside, disposing of the cloth afterwards or even better use hygienic toilet wipes as these can be disposed of down the toilet after use avoiding the spread of germs.

Using surgical gloves clean the inside of the toilet by hand using a wipe or a bleached cloth ensuring you get into all the crevices of the toilet. It is inadvisable to use a toilet brush as these then linger in the bathroom covered with bacteria and faeces and are something that I, personally would never allow in my house. After cleaning the inside flush the chain to allow the hygienic wipes etc to flush away and then apply a bleach such as toilet duck. This not only kills germs but also provides a wonderful scent. After this apply normal household bleach into the base of the toilet and leave both for around two hours if possible before flushing.

If you have bath mats or a toilet mat then ensure these are washed in boiling hot water at least once per week as these are an ideal breeding ground for germs. When mopping ensure that you use a good disinfectant with hot kettle water and clean the mop thoroughly afterwards. Leaving the mop to soak in a clean bucket of hot water, washing up liquid and bleach after use will keep it germ free.
